Christmas is a-coming.....
Saturday 3rd December 2011
If you haven't yet bought all your presents you might like to buy either of Gail's cookbooks for your foodie friends.

"Is there Life without Cake?" is full of delicious low-fat cake recipes including a fantastic boozy Christmas cake. Enticingly Different Recipes for a Low-fat Diet was supposed to be called Enticingly Weird Recipes because that is what they are. Don't think a low-fat has to be dull. I mean have you ever tasted Frisky Cheese and Banana Risotto? Now is your chance.

Both books cost £4.00 each with every penny going to Alzheimer Scotland. Contact us on 0141 334 9232 and ask Fred to bring your copies on your next walk or ask us to post them for a small contribution to P&P.

Beautiful handmade jewellery by Gail's niece, Robyn Marwick
Thursday 2nd June 2011
Much of Robyn's jewellery is made from 'twig buttons' - slivers of twig with a sealed image on one side. I think they are charmingly rustic yet beautifully delicate at the same time.

Check out Robyn's Etsy website and be sure to claim your 20% discount by quoting FRIENDS07. I hope you'll find something you'll love to wear.

You're right, I am a proud auntie but not without good cause!

Sally Butler d 30 April 2011
Saturday 28th May 2011
Some of our walkers may remember Sally Butler who was a regular Wednesday walker from September 2005 to mid-2007. She was a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Yorkhill Hospital. Also a keen Munro-bagger, having climbed 52 although not with Scot-Trek. Her friend Helen Durndell recalled that Scot-Trek had been a very positive experience for Sally, through which she had regained a measure of fitness and where she appreciated the companionship she found with us.

Sally died in the Beatson Oncology Unit on 30th April. Her favourite charity was Save the Children should anyone wish to make a donation in her memory.

Sorry for the delay in getting them on the website
